My sisters, Linda and Mitzi and I are in Kauai now visiting my daughter Michelle and her honey Brad. Randy and Babe are with us too. Brad and Michelle got a sweet cottage on the base for them to stay in and we have a vrbo condo in Po'ipu Beach
We took a interisland flight Saturday to see Pearl Harbor and spent some time on Waikiki Beach and drove to the North Shore to hang out for awhile.
All seven of us drove up to Koke'e state park, took a short hike and tons of pictures. I finally saw the bright red bird I have been looking for called an Apapane. Three of them were flitting around in the tree with the red flowers (name to be added when I find out what it is) off the edge of the cliffs at the Kalalau Valley look out.
We went to Kilauea Point Lighthouse and drove thru Hanalei and all the way to Ke'e Beach. We were going to hike to the top of the Kalalau trail head but decided to go to a Farmer's Market in Wainiha. We loaded up on exotic fruits, avacodos and had a little lady with a BIG knife cut us a fresh ice cold coconut.

Today we ate fruit all day, watched the sunrise and sunset and made arrangements to take a boat tour of the Na Pali Coast early in the morning.
